Duty of Care

Changes in a dog’s routine and environment can lead to varying degrees of distress and unpredictable behaviour. Recognising this, Ruff It! is committed to providing comfort and reassurance to dogs during such transitions.

In the event of severe weather conditions, such as extreme heat or thunderstorms, potentially harmful to the Client’s dog, Ruff It! will exercise its discretion to take necessary action, including postponing scheduled activities until deemed safe.

Necessities

Clients are required to provide secure collars with name and address tags as mandated by current legislation, along with appropriate treats for their dogs.

House Cleanliness

Ruff It! strives to return dogs to their owners’ premises in a similar state of cleanliness as when collected. However, the client acknowledges that factors beyond Ruff It!’s control, such as inclement weather, may affect this outcome. Ruff It! cannot be held liable for stains, damages, or other incidents resulting from such circumstances.

Damage to Property or Possessions

Any damage to the Client’s property or possessions caused by the pet will be documented by Ruff It! If deemed significant, Ruff It! will promptly inform the Client through available means. The Client may be responsible for any associated costs, including administration and manpower.

Health and Medicines

Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that Ruff It! is fully informed of any health issues their dogs may have or have experienced in the past. Ruff It! cannot be held liable for any issues resulting from undisclosed information.

In the event of an undisclosed contagious illness or disease in a dog, the Client accepts responsibility for the costs of treatment for other potentially affected animals.

Sick or Injured Dogs

Should a dog fall ill or sustain an injury, Ruff It! will promptly notify the Client and seek necessary veterinary care. Veterinary expenses will be directly chargeable to the Client and must be paid immediately upon request.
